Youth Hostels, a Passport for World Heritage Cities
with Hostelling International (HI) and the Organisation of World Heritage Cities (OWHC)

Who can participate:
- Groups of at least 10 people from cities which are members of the Organisation of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) (view list)
The offer – Heritage Discovery package:
- Book a minimum of 2 nights’ stay for a group of 10 or more people – and get the 2nd night free!
How to book:
- Groups make their reservation directly with the participating youth hostel by e-mail, by telephone or by fax. The booking must be for a minimum of 2 nights (the second night only is free)
Conditions:
- Groups must conform to the reservation policies of each participating hostel. It is recommended to book well in advance.
- The Heritage Discovery package offer is subject to availability.
- Groups cannot book a Heritage Discovery package for their home city.

The grant formula for additional overnight stay was arrived at through an agreement signed in Quebec City in October 2005 between the Organization of World Heritage Cities and Hostelling International to promote the cultural aspects of the world heritage cities towards young people. The UNESCO joined the project in 2007.
